The Electrical Safety & Earthing Trainer is a comprehensive practical training system designed for earthing (grounding) techniques, electrical safety practices, fault simulation, and protective relay coordination in industrial and commercial electrical installations.
The trainer enables learners to study earth fault behaviour, leakage current, protective device operation, relay characteristics, and coordination, ensuring readiness for safe installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical and connected systems.

Technical Specifications

3-Phase DOL Starter Panel – Equipped with a 4-pole MCB and a 9A contactor with 230 V AC coil (50 Hz, 11 VA) for demonstrating direct-on-line motor starting and protection.

CT and Resistive Load Panel – Includes three current transformers rated at 5/5 A along with selectable resistive loads ranging from 100–225 Ω, each rated at 200 W for current measurement and load testing.

Relay Control Panel – Industrial relay panel with 2 NO and 2 NC contacts, rated for 5 A current with a 24 V DC coil for electrical control circuit experiments.

Protection Relay Training Module – Integrated training set consisting of overcurrent relay, earth fault relay, and IDMT relay for studying electrical protection systems.

Overcurrent and Time Relay Panel – Includes a 20 A AC ammeter and an elapsed time counter to analyze relay tripping characteristics and time delay operations.

Fault Simulation Module – Built-in fault creation system with switches, bulb, resistor, choke and earth fault push switch for safe fault simulation and protection studies.

3-Phase Multifunction Meter Panel – Digital multifunction meter supporting 3-phase 415 V supply with 5 A CT input, displaying parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, power factor, kVA, kW, and energy (kWh).

Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB) Panel – 2-pole ELCB rated at 40 A with 30 mA sensitivity to demonstrate leakage protection and electrical safety.

Power Supply Console and Safety System – Industrial console with approximate size 1420 × 300 × 300 mm, dual exhaust cooling fans, emergency stop switch, ELCB-protected sockets, and industrial 3-phase socket outlet.

Workbench and Structural Frame – Heavy-duty aluminum frame structure with vertical pillars (120 × 40 mm) and modular horizontal profiles (50 × 15 mm), mounted on an industrial workbench with laminate finish, caster wheels with brakes, storage cabinet with drawers, and full set of accessories including banana sockets, patch cords, and training manuals.
